This is an exciting and dynamic role at one of Australia's most progressive and sustainable local government authorities.

The City of Sydney is seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to fulfil the role of Business Support Officer to support the Unit Manager as well as the City Infrastructure Unit and the Business Analysis Team.

We are looking for an energetic, customer-oriented individual with extensive experience and qualifications in business administration, or other relevant qualifications, to join our dynamic team.

The Business Support Officer role will involve:
  • providing high quality and professional administrative assistance;
  • coordinating the business activities including setting up meetings; managing phone calls for the Unit Manager; assisting and supporting the Team Leader with project research and investigation as well as maintaining documentation and system administration;
  • assisting in the development of business plans, business requirements and specifications
  • liaising with internal staff and external suppliers in providing general support to the business unit.
The successful applicant must have exceptional interpersonal skills, proven time management skills, attention to detail and a can-do attitude. You will have clear and concise written and oral communication skills and demonstrated experience in various computer applications, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, databases and financial management software.
